Here’s how it works

The day takes place on Voxer, a free, easy-to-use walkie-talkie app. We can talk and send voice notes as required, no Zoom calls needed. If you’re not familiar with Voxer, I’ll walk you through how to set up an account and use it.

The ‘day’ is actually 5 hours – and we don’t spend all of that together.



You complete a short application form.

This is for me to understand what’s most frustrating about your 1 to 1 client management, and to see what we can achieve in a day together.


I’ll send you a link to choose your day and pay.


We’ll connect on Voxer ahead of the day so we’re ready to dive straight in.

If you’re not familiar with Voxer, I’ll send you straightforward instructions to set it up ahead of our day.



Issue Investigation – together

We begin the day with me asking lots of questions and looking at your processes and struggles from you and your clients’ points of view. I may ask you to send me some documents so you will need to be at your computer.


Streamlining Stage – me

I map out your streamlined process, highlight improvements and explain your suggested upgrades, before sending them to you.

I may have a follow up question so while you can get on with other things during this time, I’ll need to be able to contact you for quick answers so ask that you don’t book other calls during this time.


Review Time – you

This is your chance to look over my suggestions. This might be detailed notes or an overview at this stage, depending on the issues.


Discuss and Prioritise – together

We’ll discuss the steps needed to implement the changes and prioritise an order for tackling them.


Implement – together

Now you’re in the driving seat (at your computer) while I’m in the passenger seat (on Voxer) providing instructions, technical answers and accountability to get it done.

You can ask me as many questions as you like, and if you’re nervous setting up new tech we will take it one step at a time. But rest assured, I tailor my recommendations to you, your clients, your comfort with tech and your budget, so I won’t be dropping you in at the deep end!

If I think that you need a completely new system which is too complex to set up in a single day or requires additional support then we’ll discuss the best way to get this done for you. I always aim to give recommendations that you can implement quickly, but not at the expense of making the right recommendations for you and your business in the long term.

I’ll review your form and questions in 2 working days (usually quicker) and reply by email with answers to any questions or a link to book if you’re ready to go ahead.

A Focus Day is for you if:

What is Voxer?

Voxer is a simple walkie-talkie app, which you can download and use for free. We can listen to messages in real-time, as well as play them back and send text messages too. This flexibility allows us to make the most of our chats throughout the day. If you’re not familiar with Voxer, I’ll send you straightforward instructions to set it up ahead of our day.

What if you’re not familiar with my software?

I keep on top of a variety of the most popular client management software used by solo business owners, but I can’t possibly know them all (there are thousands). That’s why I ask for information about your tech on the application form to be sure I can help you before you book.

Will you just recommend software that you’re an affiliate for?

I want you to be confident that I’m making the best recommendations for you, not for me. This is why I’m not an affiliate for any client management software so you can be sure that all my advice is impartial.

Onboarding can mean different things to different people - how early in the process can we start?

If it’s your onboarding process which is causing you stress, we can start from when you’re having serious 1-1 communication with a potential client, e.g. it could include a discovery call if you have those.

Why is the day 5 hours, not 7 or 8?

Because while we will take breaks, we’re going to make the most of the time – and I don’t know about you but I can’t be at my best for 7 or 8 hours straight.

Can I book other appointments during the day?

To make sure you get the most out of the day, it’s best not to book in other calls or appointments. However, you won’t have to be ‘on’ the whole time. That’s the beauty of using Voxer.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel my booked day?

Life can get complicated so if you need to reschedule, please give me as much notice as possible. I’ll do my best to find an alternative day for you that’s not too far in the future, however please be aware that I only have 3 booking slots available per month during term time for this service.

If you change your mind and would like to cancel before the day, I will offer a full refund. After the scheduled start time for the day, your payment is not refundable.

If we start our day together and it becomes clear to me that this service is not a good fit for your business after all, then I’ll let you know this and we will stop the session. In this case I will normally issue you with a full refund. This is entirely at my discretion.

I'm in a different time zone (i.e. not GMT/BST) - can we still make this work?

Focus Days are currently booked for 10am-3pm UK time. However, I’d like to be able to offer a split virtual ‘day’ across two days, so we can work across timezones together. At the time of writing, I haven’t trialled this option but do get in touch if you’d like to discuss how we can make this work for you.

Can you look at the whole process for all of my services in a single day?

Probably not. If you have a couple of similar services and you don’t need a complex process then we may be able to tackle the whole thing in 1 day.

But in most cases you’ll need to choose which service(s) and which part of the client management process you want to focus on for the day to make sure we can achieve your goals. If you’re unsure what you’d like to tackle, then complete the form and we can discuss your options.

You can always book another day to tackle another section of your process or a different service.

Or if you feel like your whole client management process across multiple services requires an upgrade then Level Up Your Client Management may suit your needs better. As always, if you’re not sure, get in touch to discuss your client management frustrations.


Can you guarantee results?

I can’t guarantee any results or outcomes from your Focus Day, and you probably wouldn’t trust me if I did.

I will provide the best advice that I can, based on the information you tell me. It’s going to be up to you to decide which of my recommendations to implement in your business, and to be responsible for the results.
